What do you like best about Smartsheet?

One of my favorite Smartsheet features is customizable automation. These automations make it simple to create workflows and alerts to effectively and efficiently collaborate with team members. These customizable automations and workflows have been invaluable to me over the years, saving a great deal of time and energy, particularly on large-scale, international projects. Smartsheet is also a company that supports its customers and cares about customer satisfaction and feedback. Smartsheet offers an extensive library of eLearning and support materials for their customers. These guides and learning materials have helped me improve my skills and discover new ways to use Smartsheet more effectively over the years. I also appreciate that the company welcomes customer feedback to improve its platform. In 2019, I was invited to participate in the Early Adopters Program to test new features. I enjoyed participating in the program, which resulted in many valuable new features. I have been delighted with my experiences with Smartsheet over the years, and I highly recommend them to anyone searching for a well-designed, reliable management platform

Smartsheet has a awesome and user friendly interface. I used to be a MS user but I switched to smartsheet. It has almost all features of MS excel but more powerful than that. Its a powerful alternative of MS Excel. The best part is, I can easily automate my task without code. It helps us to monitor the progress of on going projects. Easy to share & collab with other team mates. Its report features is so interactive easy to understand and represent reports to other members. It has a feature of create form that’s helps me alot. I can easily create a form without code just by drag and drop feature. Easy to share form with other with just a link and it saves all the response in a sheet that helps me to use filter and calculation on it. Smartsheet is really a smart tool with helps me to manage project with ease.

I like how Smarthsheet integrates MS Excel and MS project functionalities in a single package. This makes Smartsheet a really powerful tool and easy to learn. Another thing I love about smartsheet is the ability to create survey forms from your sheets you can send to clients or employees. This tied to the live dashboard functionality, makes smartsheet a great tool for live real world data visualization.

The best for me it is its user-friendliness, also the simplicity to create ‘no code’ automations, it has a great business use. On top of that, it displays data in a ‘nice’ way

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

I dislike certain limitations it has – eg. not being able to format ‘forms’, or for example that the only thing you can decide with the input of a form is whether the data (row) goes on top or below. I also think a ‘find’ search bar is missing to find something within the content. I would like a better track of all the changes made and the versions of the sheets. Also some more configuration choices for the Dashboards

Some functionalities are missing or are yet too difficult to perform in smartsheet. For example, you cannot create a chart that automatically counts the categories of a column with multiple fixed values with the chart function. To do this, you first have to use the count function to count the number of rows for every category, which I find a little too complicated when Excel can automatically generate this kind of chart. Also, I wish you could further customize survey forms and be able to add images to them. Finally, I find that non-licensed users have very limited access, not being able even to modify already created row names. This complicates working with a team if there is just a need for one licensed user.

Till now everything is working flawlessly. I still have to explore many features in smartsheet. Its fulfilling all my requirements. And I have nothing to dislike in smartsheet.

It is difficult to think of something I don’t like about Smartsheet. The only small challenge I have encountered over the years would be the inability to type special characters within cells. When working on projects in different languages, the ability to type special characters rather than copy and paste would be helpful.

What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?

Smartsheet offers a superior online management platform. I have experienced working with a variety of other online collaboration and management tools, and of them all, I prefer Smartsheet. Since 2016, I have relied upon Smartsheet to organize and manage my projects. The platform is intuitively designed to be user-friendly. Creating, organizing, and sharing information with sheets, dashboards, project timelines, schedules, reports, and so much more is simple. Workspaces and dashboards help to organize information, display data, share reports, and track progress. Customizable access levels also provide flexibility to assign the appropriate level of access to various stakeholders.

Smartsheet is the smartest way to manage project and collaborate with clients and other team members. Its reporting dashboard helps a alot to know the project progress in interactive manner. It form features helps me to get response easily without any coding. Its a powerful tool helps me to manage multiple projects easily.

Smartsheet lets us keep track of all of our projects easily and without hassle. Project completion and pending tasks can be reviewed globally in seconds. It also enables us to easily create and apply surveys through the web, with the results generating a live dashboard automatically if correctly set up. Smartsheet allocation tracker also makes it easy to manage your team by reviewing how much of their time is already compromised by ongoing tasks.

It solves daily tasks, for example getting information from colleagues or third parties. In my case, I also use it a lot to send reminder to myself of things I need to do or things I have to follow up with.

“Gets frustrating going back and hiding 20 columns again afterwards.”

“I miss the overall definition of “project” which makes it more difficult to group sheets that belong to the same project and to get an overall view on all our running projects.”
