What do you like best about monday.com?
Monday.com is the ideal business automation tool, not only does it integrate with your existing tools but it also automates your day-to-day routines saving you time to focus on the things that really matter the most. Monday is a part of my daily work life! No longer searching for spreadsheets and documents with Work OS, it’s all there in one place. You can quickly access all of the related project files and documents, even google docs, on the project boards. And the automations send reminders, updates, and reports for every project, task, and/or process automatically, keeping you and your team informed and updated without thought. Monday.com is for more than Project Management, our team uses Mondays Work OS for KPIs, Personal Goals, and even document repositories, just to name a few!

There are many things to like about Monday.com! The amount of options you have when creating your project management boards helps to customize each workspace to the needs of the individual, team, project or goal. The color coordination for statuses was my favorite because I could give each workspace/board a palette, so I knew what project I was looking at just by the colors used. Almost everything is collapsable, meaning you only look at what is pertinent to you; nothing else clogs your screen. I feel like I had complete autonomy over boards, workspaces, rows and columns to do what I wanted with the platform and experiment with how I wanted to organize my life.
It’s simple to use and easy to manage for myself and the wider team. I can create anything from a simple client ticket to creating client project boards for multiple departments. There are a lot of great functions we use daily, including tracking, sub-item tasks, CRM, board sharing, project statues, email notifcations and more
What do you dislike about monday.com?
One size doesn’t fit all, and we’ve had to change the boards and functions several times to meet our requirements; it’s not a bad thing as we’re a growing company and we expect change, but it can take a while if you have a lot of projects on the go.
The workspace as a whole is more tailored to a team experience and wasn’t checking some of the boxes when it came to my business where I work alone. Some tracking and automation features catered to a team space instead of an individual one.
1. Limited integration: Monday.com lacks direct integration with specific software and tools like Constant Contact, Notejoy, etc.
2.Learning Curves: Since this software contains too many features, the learning curve is high for new users, which consumes time and effort.
3. Limited features in their basic plans: Even the general and most needed features are lacking in their basic subscription plan. Also, it is impossible to add weightage to each task to better track productivity.
Over the last year, as a Monday.com admin/client/user, the only issue we have encountered was the limitation to adding users within our organization. If you want your co-workers to interact with the boards you have set up, they must have paid accounts. We have found must-use in viewer-only accounts, which is free, but users often need/want to make edits to your tasks, processes, and boards in Monday. In that case, they need to have paid member accounts. There are so many ways that Monday Work OS can be used there are so many ways that it can be customized for each and every team to have their own processes and project boards set up to fit their individual needs.
What problems is monday.com solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com saves our teams valuable time by increasing productivity using automation and integrations that work with our other systems like Google and Jira. We are able to increase collaboration and communication all within one place. We are also able to build custom reports using the dashboards in Monday. We can share them with everyone as well as embed them in our Google Sites.
Our experience with Monday.com has been a mix. I can manage my team all online with this software as it allows seamless project creation, task assignment, and progress tracking. However, as the team size and requirement grows, this tool becomes costly and might be hard to afford for small businesses like ours.
Monday.com solves the problem of team management, project organization & planning, collaboration work and overall business management. For myself and the businesses I work with, Monday helped streamline project workflow and gave us one place to do everything from communicating goals and identifying tasks to turning in final files and expressing feedback.
I can get a business-wide picture of all our projects and tickets we have/ currently working on. It takes away a lot of admin as I’m able to see the progress of all the projects and any issues quickly. In addition, the team has little to no distractions as they can focus on their tasks and projects.
